How do I get my membership rights back?

Pay what is owed. That is the whole process.

Both the By-Laws and the Rules & Regulations say the same thing: once the past-due annual and special assessments are paid, the rights of membership are **automatically restored**. There is no form to fill in, no application, and no waiting period written into the documents.

Two points on what "paid" means:

- **All of it.** The By-Laws define good standing as having no past-due assessments on any lot you own. If you own several lots, all of them have to be current.
- **The balance includes what was added.** Where a penalty and interest have been added to a past-due assessment, those form part of what is owed.

If you own more than one lot and can only clear part of the balance, talk to the office rather than assuming a partial payment restores your standing.

There is a second route, used in different circumstances. The By-Laws let you appeal a suspension to the Board instead of waiting until the balance is cleared. That is a separate process with its own requirements, covered in the article on appealing a suspension.

Once your standing is restored, everything that depends on it comes back — use of the common properties and facilities, voting, eligibility for committees and the Board, and the ability to get identification cards and guest passes.

One thing to watch if you are close to a deadline. Reservations are checked against good standing on **April 1**. If you are not in good standing on that date, cabin and campground reservations are cancelled and the money refunded. Paying later restores your standing, but the reservation is **not reinstated** — you have to book again.
