Can the membership list be used to contact me about other things?

No, not for solicitation. The By-Laws are direct about this.

The membership list may not be used for solicitation purposes by any member, any person, or any business. And the rule goes further than solicitation alone — the express approval of the Board of Directors is required for use of the list **in any way**.

So the default is no. A member cannot take the list and use it to promote a business, advertise a service, or run a campaign of their own. Neither can anyone outside the Association.

The list itself is maintained by the Secretary. The By-Laws make the Secretary responsible for keeping a list of the entire membership, alongside keeping the records of meetings.

This does not stop the Association from contacting you about Association business. Notices of the annual meeting, ballots, assessment notices and the Treasurer's annual financial report are all sent to members under the By-Laws, and are part of how the Association is required to operate.

If you believe the membership list has been used improperly, the Rules & Regulations ask that complaints be put in writing and sent to the Board of Directors.
